ELEMENTARY

The Elementary classes at New Life Christian Academy provide the Biblical foundation and educational fundamentals that each child will need to succeed in life.

Students will be guided on their educational path by caring and knowledgeable teachers who will keep them excited about learning. All science, history, math, and grammar units will be taught from a Biblical worldview.

New Life elementary teachers are ACSI and state certified, bringing new ideas with tried-and-true techniques to each classroom as they teach times tables, phonics, cursive, and other foundational academics.

It is our desire to establish good study habits and a growth mindset in each student while promoting individual responsibility that will last a life time.

Curriculum

Preschool and Kindergarten classes use ABeka curriculum. It places a strong emphasis on phonics and reading readiness in the area of language arts. The mathematics program stresses number

recognition and concepts, as well as formation of numbers.

In Kindergarten, students will complete simple addition and subtraction combinations, telling time and working with money.

First Grade and Second Grade students begin to use a wider variety of curriculum. They use ACSI Bible curriculum, Concerned

Communications (spelling) and ABeka, which continues the strong emphasis on phonics based learning in the area of language arts.
